And A Winner!

Melissa, it's you! I used Random.org to choose a winner, and it's you. Email me jeanette.archer@gmail.com with your address and I'll get the outfit in the post this week.

Thanks to everyone who took part, I loved knowing your fave flowers. Mine are probably Hydrangeas, but I have a soft spot for roses too.

Flossie's Pinafore Cut And Sew

Flossie

Now available to buy.

Completed Dress from cut and sew fabric

I'm pleased to say it sews up really nicely. I had it printed on the quilting weight cotton which makes for a lovely summer dress.

Only currently available in size 6-12mths, but I'm working on the next size up.

There is enough extra fabric in the yard to make bootees, a sunhat or any other little accessories you might fancy. I've cut out some bootees and some bunting, just need a little time to finish sewing those up.
I'll post piccies here when they are complete.

Fabric Now For Sale

I've added little picture linkies over there on the right to Flossies Garden fabrics now available to buy direct from Spoonflower.
There is more to come, I'm still working my way through some colour and scale edits.
Still working on the cut and sew pinafore too.
Here it is so far, I'm thinking of adding some cut and sew bootees to the design as suggested by Mary, I'll update on that once I've figured it out.

Flossies Pinafore Cut And Sew

Flossie

Today's endeavors, not at all what I was meant to be doing, but fun anyway. Not sure this is the final draft, just wondering if I should add some pattern to the background, there's a lot of plain fabric there, and if you are going to have leftovers, they may as well be pretty....

Also updated my border print, making it double edged, that seems more economical for childrens clothing, and would also work nicely as a table cloth/runner.

It's been a while....

Been kinda busy with new baby. These fabrics arrived just a week or two after Ernest made his arrival, but this is the first chance I've had to photograph them.
I have to admit to being slightly dissapointed, the colours are not nearly so bright as I'd hoped, and in some cases not even near the colours I expected, especially the green which came out as an insipid yellow.
I was however fairly happy with the cotton lawn, though a bit dissapointed with the quilting cotton which has changed since my last order with spoonflower, and seems to be more of a creamy colour rather than the white I'd expected.
Anyway, lessons learned, and adjustments to be made.
